Thinking About Participating in a Clinical Study?

The process of any clinical study depends on the type of research that the CDC Research Institute conducts. Our specialists will check your health and wellness level before the trial begins, giving you detailed instructions and guidance for what the study involves. The team will continue to monitor your health throughout, ensuring that we methodically follow every study protocol.

To get started simply fill out an application form. This enables a CDC Research Institute staffer to contact you to determine if you qualify for the clinical research study that you selected. If you can meet the pre-screening qualifications, we can then schedule you to come in for an initial visit.

Pre-Screening/Physical Visit

Most studies will require a physical prior to participation. Our team will provide you with Informed Consent paperwork that explains the details of the study.

The next step is a study-related physical examination that may include:

  • Measurements (height and weight)
  • Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse)
  • Urine and Blood Sampling

The physical process only takes about an hour but could be longer depending on the unique facets of the study.

Qualified Participants

When we qualify you for a study, a CDC Research Institute coordinator will assign and schedule an appointment for your first visit. Failure to attend without 24-hour notice may result in disqualification or non-consideration for future studies.
